HEALING IN MOTION
Therapy
The connection between a therapist and client is one of the most critical factors for growth and recovery. I meet my clients where they are and work collaboratively with them at their pace, to make them feel safe and supported. There is no “One Size Fits All” therapy. I tailor my sessions to my client’s needs using a variety of therapeutic interventions in my sessions, always trauma-informed and client centered. I want to empower my clients to use their voice and to know that they are heard. Ultimately, the client is in control of their journey to recovery.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board Approved supervisor in the state of Texas. I earned my Master of Social Work from New York University and have more than eight years of experience providing therapy to both adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings. I am also a 500 hour registered yoga instructor with yoga alliance and a Trauma Center for Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F). I specialize in treating trauma, specifically with survivors of sexual assault and family violence. I also treat a wide range of mental health challenges including but not limited to, PTSD/C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief.
My approach to therapy is holistic and client centered. Whether through traditional psychotherapy or through yoga infused psychotherapy, my goal is to create a safe space to begin working on repairing the disconnect between mind and body caused by challenges to one's mental health.
